Attack Alert
The latest alert has seen a merchant vessel subjected to piracy attack near position Latitude 14 50N Longitude 066 48E.
At 0336 UTC today a merchant vessel was reported under attack by pirates using 2 skiffs.
No announcement has yet been made by NATO Counter Piracy Operation, “Ocean Shield” on whether the vessel had evaded hijack. Vessels transiting near this area should navigate with extreme caution.
