Sources have confirmed that the Taiwanese skipper of a hijacked fishing vessel was killed on May 10.

A full eleven days before the ministry in Taipei was eventually informed.

Captain Wu Lai-yu skippered the now sunken “Jih Chun Tsai No. 68″, which the pirates had been using as a mother ship since it was seized on March 30 last year. The Captain was thought to have been killed in crossfire between pirates and US forces.
