Jubba Joy

The hijacked UAE-owned and flagged oil tanker “MV Jubba XX” was released by pirates off the Yemeni coast on Wednesday without any ransom payment or according to local press, “giving any concessions”.

Local press in the Gulf claim that the release was secured thanks to the UAE’s “good reputation and relations with other countries”. Other sources claim the release was secured by Somali tribal elders.
