No List

Following the rather surprising Lloyd’s List article a couple of weeks ago, the International Group of ‘P&I clubs has vehemently denied that it has drawn up a confidential lists of approved security providers’.

Andrew Bardot wrote to the paper’s Editor to stress that no International Group (IG) member clubs maintain lists, confidential or otherwise, of maritime approved security providers.

Though there does appear to be some confusion, as a number of P&I Clubs have been collating information on security providers. Shipowners will be looking to their P&I Clubs for guidance on this matter, and so there will be some likely developments as the IG looks to implement some kind of system to provide clarification for its constituent Clubs, and their members in due course.
