The price of feeding two million starving Somalis may be all out war, crime and piracy on an unprecedented scale.

There are fears that U.S. food aid is getting into the hands of Islamist fighters of the al-Shabab and that the terrorist group is effectively holding millions of starving people as hostages.

These Somali fighters are refusing to allow Western donated food to reach starving people at the edge of death due to a drought.
