Naval Cuts

While the NATO anti-piracy chief warns of renewed attacks and an post-Monsoon upsurge, Lloyd’s List has flagged the growing concerns that austerity policies and other commitments will see naval vessels removed from region.

It is reported that the number of naval assets tackling piracy in the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean is set to drop sharply by the beginning of 2012.
