Coastguard Inspected

Bahrain’s Public Security Chief has visited the Coastguard headquarters for an inspection and to discuss developments in training and the use of advanced equipment.

Public Security Chief Inspects Coastguard Directorate

Public Security Chief Major-General Tariq Hassan Al-Hassan today paid an inspection visit to the Coastguard Command headquarters and was updated on development strides, advanced equipment, training programmes and specialized course.
Coastguard Commander Commodore Ala’a Abdulla Siadi and other senior Coastguard officers attended.

Public Security Chief Major-General Tariq Hassan Al-Hassan also inspected the Maritime Operations Centre (MOC), recently equipped with cutting-edge radars, Automatic Identification System (AIS) and electro sensors to monitor Bahrain’s territorial waters round the clock and identify detected targets.

Major-General Tariq Hassan Al-Hassan hailed the efforts of the coastguards to protect Bahrain’s security and territorial waters and combat smuggling and infiltration crimes.

He affirmed keenness on implementing the directives of Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa to upgrade Bahrain Coastguard Directorate.
