Hijacked Captain discusses his ordeal

In an interview with CNN, Captain Wren Thomas discusses the October 2013 attack on his vessel, the C-Retriever, and his subsequent abduction.

The C-Retriever was attacked by armed pirates on October 23rd, 2013, at around 0300 LT. The crew took refuge in the ship’s tank room, but pirates were able to cut a hole in the water-tight door and force the muzzle of a gun through. Once they began firing into the room, the Captain took the decision to surrender. He and his American engineer then endured an 18 day kidnap ordeal.
