Iran’s naval forces will, for the first time, set sail for the southern waters of the Indian Ocean, says the county’s Navy commander.
“The 30th fleet [of the Iranian Navy] comprising the Islamic Republic destroyer together with Alvand and Bushehr warships are moving toward the equator en route to the southern Indian Ocean,” Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said on Wednesday.
The Iranian commander further highlighted the full preparedness of the country’s Armed Forces to defend the nation against any potential threat.
