Commander: Iran’s Naval Power Felt Thousands of Kilometers Away
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari underlined his forces’ growing might and capability, and said Iran’s Naval power is now felt thousands of kilometers far from its Southern borders.
“Today, we have been able to establish security in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, Bab al-Mandab and the North of the Indian Ocean and we have shown this might and power almost 2,500km far from the Southern coasts,” Sayyari said in the Southern province of Hormozgan on Monday.
He also underlined the Iranian naval forces’ capability to fight pirates in the international waters, and said such a power helps the country in the further development of its economy and trade.
