Angola Defends Reinforcement of Security in Gulf of Guinea

Washington — The need of reinforcing the international cooperation in fighting piracy, aimed to guarantee the security in maritime navigation in the Gulf of Guinea, was defended on Wednesday in Washington by the Angolan delegation that attended the US/Africa summit.

This opinion was stated by the Vice-president of the Republic, Manuel Domingos Vicente, on the panel “Peace and Regional Stability”, of the forum on behalf of the Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos.

According to minister of Foreign Affairs, Georges Chikoti, who disclosed this fact, President José Eduardo dos Santos is very concerned with security of Gulf of Guinea.
