Legal bid lodged to get back Ashington pirate-hunter’s passport and belongings

Top lawyers have lodged a legal bid for the return of freed pirate-hunter Nick Dunn’s belongings.

A judge quashed the charges filed against the 28-year-old in a hearing in India last month but Nick is yet to be granted permission to leave the country.

He was arrested back in October along with five other British workers for the alleged illegal possession of weapons.

A petition has now been handed to a top court in India calling for the release of the former squaddie’s passport and his belongings.
