The Regional Cooperation Agreement on Combating Piracy and Armed Robbery against Ships in Asia (ReCAAP) reported two cases of siphoning of ship fuel/oil in October 2014, bringing the total number of such incidents to 11 so far this year.

ReCAAP’s Information Sharing Centre said that it is concerned and will continue to work closely with the littoral states in monitoring the situation, and will encourage increased surveillance and enforcement.
