Maritime Cyber Security Seminar Underway

The Learning Seminar and Symposium on Maritime Cyber Security, co-sponsored by Rutgers University and American Military University (AMU) is underway on the campus of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J.

In what is believed to be the first public event  on the subject of maritime cyber security, Command, Control, and Interoperability Center for Advanced Data Analysis (CCICADA) and AMU are hosting the event today and Tuesday. The event covers a wide range of maritime cyber security issues and includes numerous keynote speakers from the U.S. military, maritime cyber security and intelligence fields.

    Great to see awareness improving but this is not the first public seminar on the subject. SAMI hosted “Seaworthiness and Cyber Security – the hidden threat to shipping” as far back as July last year onboard HQS WELLINGTON. The seminar was very well attended and generated some interesting debate …… as I hope will this current event.
