Naval ship reaches Yemen’s port Aden to rescue stranded Indians

An Indian warship has entered Yemen’s port Aden, while two other warships and the IAF’s super heavy air lifters C-17s are on the way to Djibouti in the horn of Africa to bring back Indians rescued from the war-hit west Asian nation. 

The effort to evacuate around 3,000 Indians is working at various levels. 

Two merchant vessels were dispatched from Kochi, and they will be joined by destroyer INS Mumbai and frigate INS Tarkash. 

Indians, meanwhile, started embarking the vessel in pitch-dark conditions late in the night.
