Jhozaar made the call in an interview with The Tide correspondent in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.

He said that to inaugurate such outfit which will collaborate with the Nigerian Navy and the Marine Police, armed with sophisticated weapons and ammunition to patrol the waterways including the creeks would help ameliorate marine related crimes such as oil bunkering, sea piracy, as well as arrest and prosecute any sea going vessels, barges and tug-boasts that operate at odd hours of the night without headlights.

The consultant opined that the ugly trend is causing other marine operators including the fisher folk a great concern and danger since their lives and properties are no longer safe for their professional occupation.
