Marine police to strengthen ties with Indonesian counterparts

SHAH ALAM: The Malaysian marine police is strengthening its bilateral relations with its Indonesian counterpart to prevent border crimes within the two territories.

Federal Marine Police Commander SAC Datuk Abd Aziz Yusof said the maritime border coordinating group meeting would discuss strategies in preventing such crimes.

These include coordinating patrols, exchanging ideas and information and improving communications, he told a press conference at the Concorde Hotel here where the two-day meeting, which began yesterday, is being held.
