New Naval headquarters in Gujarat to secure critical establishments along country’s largest coastline

In line with security requirements of critical shipbuilding yards, ports, major oil and gas industries along country’s largest coastline of more than 1600 kilometres that is there in Gujarat, the Indian Navy has established a new headquarter at Porbander in the state.

The existing Maharashtra and Gujarat Naval Area has been divided to make two separate headquarters that was marked on Wednesday by assuming of charge of Flag Officer, Gujarat by Rear Admiral Murlidhar Sadashiv Pawar who until now was FlafgOfficer, Maharashtra Area.
