Anti-piracy vessel crew re-trial resumes

MADURAI: The principal sessions court in Tuticorin will start from December 1 cross-examination of witnesses in the case related to Seaman Guard Ohio, the anti-piracy ship held on charges of entering the country’s territorial waters with arms and ammunition.

In the last two months, principal sessions judge Rajasekar heard the witnesses, including Tuticorin collector M Ravikumar. Sources from the Q branch said the cross-examination of witnesses and counter arguments between defense and government counsel will begin on December 1.
