Coast Guard DIG Loshali sacked for opposite stand on Pak boat

New Delhi: The Coast Guard has sacked its DIG B K Loshali for contradicting the government by boasting that he had ordered the destruction of a mysterious Pakistani fishing boat off the Gujarat coast in the Arabian Sea on January 1.

“The court martial consisting of five DIGs, which was held in Mumbai for over three months, dismissed Loshali from service on Saturday after he was found guilty on all the six charges, including making false statements when he was not involved in the operation,” an official said.
