10 Indians rescued from pirates with Nigeria’s help

NEW DELHI: 10 Indian crew members on board a ship ‘Maximus’ that was hijacked by pirates have been rescued, while efforts are on to free the 11th Indian.

The ship with 11 Indian crew members was hijacked by pirates off the Ivory Coast last Saturday.

MSR Note: Under its previous name, SP Brussels, the ship was attacked by pirates in April 2014 off Nigeria. During a gunfight, one crewman was killed and another injured.
