US beefs up naval presence in Arabian Gulf

The aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower has entered the Arabian Gulf, joining the U.S. 5th Fleet to support maritime and air operations in the region.

The Eisenhower, carrying the Carrier Air Wing 3, and escorted by the guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze and the guided-missile cruiser USS San Jacinto, sailed into the region after concluding operations in the Mediterranean Sea.
