In the wake of the recent terror attacks which have taken place in the UK, British ports need to remain vigilant.

Currently, the threat risk to UK ports is to remain at its lowest possible level, despite the fact that the UK national security level is set to critical.

Dave Galt, chief officer at Port of Liverpool Police, told Port Strategy: “At this moment there is no specific intelligence of a threat against maritime security and the ISPS security level remains at level 1, however there will be some impact on our lives through an increased security presence focused on public spaces.” f
