Navy Vows To Tackle Maritime Threats In Niger Delta

Following frequent attacks on vessels and crew members by sea pirates in the coastal region, the Nigerian Navy has vowed to intensify efforts in tackling the Growing maritime challenges.

It said that it would deepen human capacity to curb the increasing threats on the waterways. Addressing the graduands of the Naval War College Nigeria, NWCN, in Ubima, Rivers State, the Chief of Defense Staff, Gen Abayomi Olunisakin said the 21st Century Commander must not only display professional knowledge and competence, but more importantly comply with rules of engagement in all missions and as well respect human rights.
