Turkish, Ukrainian coastal guard to patrol Black Sea together

The units of the coastal guard of Ukraine and Turkey will be patrolling the Black Sea together. Arsen Avakov, Ukraine’s interior minister and the head of Turkish Coast Guard Ahmet Kendir reached the respective agreement.

Avakov admitted that the sides have been working on the mechanisms of monitoring and rapid response, joint groups and the exchange of information. ‘This will considerably increase our presence in the Black Sea’, he said.
