Diesel Smuggling Operation Thwarted Off Musandam, Oman

A diesel smuggling operation was thwarted by the Royal Oman Police when three foreign nationals attempted to smuggle 30,000 litres of diesel into the country.

According to a police statement, “Police boats have seized a smuggling boat North-East of Ras Laima in the Governorate of Musandam. On board were three persons of an Asian nationality who carried with them on the boat more than 30,000 litres of diesel.”

The boat has been moved to Khasab Port and legal proceedings are ongoing.
