Brazilian Media Reports Seizures of 760kg Cocaine and 42 Tonnes of Counterfeit Toys at Santos Port

May 30: Initial reports by Brazilian media state that “Federal marshals arrested today a businessman trying to ship 760 kilos of cocaine to Antwerp, Belgium, from the Santos Port, Brazil’s busiest. The drugs would be stashed in a corn flour load.” The report goes on to state that, “the Federal Police also seized in the Port of Santos 42 tones of fake toys, worth BRL 7.9m. They were imitations of Disney, Marvel, and Lego products, and were inside a Chinese freight. The toys were going to be sold in Sao Paulo.”
