National Strikes at Australian Port Likely to Cause Disruptions

July 09: Stevedores started national strikes at DP World terminals across Australia on Monday, July 8, 2019. Around 1,800 stevedores walked off the job for 48 hours at the Brisbane terminal and workers at Fremantle, Melbourne, and Sydney will begin strikes later this week for safety, dignity, and job security in the workplace. Vessels that are scheduled to arrive at the ports over the next few days may be affected.

Container vessels that are heading to the ports of Brisbane, Fremantle, Melbourne, and Sydney with an original estimated time of arrival on July 8-13 may be affected.
