North Korean Military Fires Two Suspected Short-Range Missiles Into Sea of Japan

September 10: On the morning of 10 September 2019, the North Korean military launched two unidentified projectiles into the Sea of Japan from an area near Kaechon, located in South Pyongan province. According to South Korean military officials, the short-range projectiles traveled 330 km (205 mi) to the east. These launches were the eighth such test by North Korea since June 2019 and followed the vice foreign minister’s statement regarding a willingness to resume talks with the United States later this month.
