Boarding and Attempted Theft Aboard Product Tanker at Lagos Anchorage

December 21, 00:25 UTC: Duty crew on board a product tanker at Lagos Anchorage (posn. 06:15.4N – 003:13.0E) noticed two unauthorised persons onboard and raised the alarm. Crew mustered and a naval patrol boat was notified via VHF, which responded and searched the waters around the tanker. A search was carried out and nothing was reported stolen.
