January 13, 09:30 LT: While at Panjang Anchorage in Indonesia (posn. 5° 30’ S, 105° 17’ E), the duty watchman on board the bulk carrier FEDERAL BRISTOL (IMO #9697844) noticed the steering room lock was opened and ship’s engine spares were missing. The master reported the incident to the local agent.
