Navy mock drill to check preparedness on terror strike

The two-day ‘Operation Hamla 1 (OD) 2016 ’, a security drill, started here on Wednesday with the support of Indian Navy, Coast Guard ,Marine police , fishery department, customs and Paradip port trust.

‘Operation Hamla 1 OD 2016’, the 48-hour security drill on land and sea was a virtual cat and mouse game, where the forces protected designated areas from being breached by undercover commandos who would act as terrorists.

Three naval warships, three ships of coast guards, two ships of Paradip Marine police and two hi-speed power boats were engaged for the drill.
