Commander of Combined Task Force 150 discusses interoperability with Pakistan

Commodore Hassan Alsharani of the Royal Saudi Navy and Commander of CTF150, CMF’s counter-terrorist force visited the Pakistan Navy HQ in Islamabad recently.

In a meeting with the Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations), Rear Admiral Faisal Lodhi, Cdre Alsharani discussed narcotic smuggling routes and how information gained from Pakistan’s Regional Maritime Security Patrols could be shared.

RAdm Lodhi said: “It was a very positive visit. Maritime security is the responsibility of all Navies and Pakistan continues to support CMF activity.”

Pakistan has commanded CTF150 ten times since 2006 and CTF151 nine times since 2010 and have a number of senior naval officers in key roles in the CMF HQ.
