New anti-piracy operation planned.

CTF 152 Op Nawaf briefing to RFA Cardigan Bay

Captain R. G. Anders, Commanding Officer RFA CARDIGAN BAY, hosted Captain Saleh Alfodary Kuwait Coast Guard, Commander Combined Task Force (CTF) 152, and the CTF 152 command team on-board for an operational brief in advance of their upcoming period of direct support during Focused Operation NAWAF.

RFA CARDIGAN BAY is one of the multi-national elements taking part in Focused Operation NAWAF, which will also see units from Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE and US coast guards. The operation will promote interoperability within the region, deter illicit activities and promote regional maritime security.

Captain Saleh Alfodary, Kuwait Coast Guard, Commanding Officer of Combined Task Force (CTF) 152 said “It was pleasure to visit RFA CARDIGAN BAY and I am excited to have such a capable and versatile unit in Direct Support (DS) to CTF 152 and OP NAWAF. I was impressed with the professionalism of the crew and their dedication to supporting Maritime Security in the region.”
