French Union Calls for Port Strikes June 03 & 06

May 27: France’s CGT union is calling for a nationwide port strike on June 3 and June 6, a port official said on Monday.

No reason was yet specified for the protests.

The dockers’ strike would last the whole of Monday, June 3, the official said, citing a notice from the CGT’s port section. The Thursday June 6 strike will last four hours, with times still to be confirmed, the official added.
