Contraband Alcohol Worth Almost 100m XOF Seized at Port of Dakar

August 19: Senegalese customs agents have seized an assortment of contraband alcohol worth nearly 100 million Senegalese francs (100m XOF; approx. 170,000 USD). The alcohol was concealed in a container from France that, according to official reports, claimed to contain mattresses, stoves and other household items.
