Boarding via Anchor Chain and Theft Aboard Tanker Anchored Near Bandar Penawar, Malaysia

September 25, 20:15 UTC: Approx. 16nm east of Bandar Penawar, Johor, Malaysia, unauthorized persons boarded an anchored tanker unnoticed via anchor chain and stole ship’s equipment from the forward store and escaped. Incident reported to regional authorities.
