Due to the continued piracy activities off the coast of Somalia and surrounding waters and the associated increase in insurance costs on the vessels to East Africa.
MSC will implemented a Piracy Risk Surcharge for all cargoes out of South Africa, Mozambique, Namibia to East African Ports (Nacala, Dar Es Salaam, Tanga, Zanzibar, Mombasa) from May 30. A PRS of USD 130/TEU will be imposed on all regional export cargoes.
