Applied Weather Technology, Inc. has announced its innovative fleet management system GlobalView™, as the winner of the Systems category for the fifth annual Safety at Sea International Awards.

The systems allows owners and masters to overlay piracy information onto existing data, so it is possible to plot movements and threats. This means that active strategic decisions can be made to avoid pirates action groups.
