Somali pirate on the coast of Hobyo

Foreign security agencies launched an attack at a pirates’ base situated a few miles from the Kenya-Somalia border, killing and injuring several unknown suspected pirates.

The base, near the Kenyan coastal town of Lamu is suspected to be used for holding abducted victims briefly especially before they are transferred to the main bases inside Somalia.

Forces from the US and France are believed to have been involved.
