First E-Open Day

Coventry University is set to open its doors, metaphorically speaking.

The Centre for Peace and Reconciliation Studies will be hosting its first ever e-open day on Wednesday 21 November 2012, where prospective students for their MA in Maritime Security can have all of their questions answered. The format of the event is the ideal solution for a course run through distance learning for those that can’t regularly attend a fixed location. The team hope that the event, along with answering questions and providing insight, will illustrate just how accessible learning can be wherever a student may be and whatever they’re doing.

There will be two open sessions, 10:00 – 11:00 and 16:00 – 17:00 GMT, where anyone interested can drop by and ask any questions they might have about the course or the research agenda. This will be run using Skype and participants should add the Skype name ‘CPRS-MarSec2’ and drop in to ask staff questions. For those wanting something more in depth, or that would prefer to talk one-on-one, a time slot between the open sessions can be booked for a chat via Skype by emailing james.malcolm@coventry.ac.uk with your availability by 16:00hrs on Tuesday 20th November.

We have been asked to remind you that, of course, questions by email are welcome too and will all be answered. The deadline for applying for the programme is Friday 14th December, so this is the perfect opportunity to find out about it.
