Goodwill visit by Indian Naval ships to Oman

Muscat: IN Ships Tir (Senior Officer’s ship), Sujata (Offshore Patrol Vessel) and Tarangini (Sail Training Ship), elements of the First Training Squadron based in Kochi under the Southern Naval Command, are on a “flag showing” visit  to the Arabian Gulf during this month.  The Southern Naval Command (SNC) is the Training Command of the Indian Navy, wherein training for officers and sailors, including from friendly foreign countries, is conducted. SNC is headed by the Flag Officer Commanding- in- Chief South, Vice Admiral SPS Cheema, PVSM, AVSM, NM, who is also in Muscat on official tour to coincide with the visit of the Training Squadron.
