Police Probe $17 Million Cocaine Seizure at Port Bustamante, Jamaica

May 31: Investigators are probing a $17 million cocaine bust at the Port of Kingston. The cocaine, which weighed 12 kilogrammes, was seized on Thursday. 

In a statement Friday, the Jamaica Customs Agency said members of its Contraband Enforcement Team, the Narcotics Division and other entities, were conducting an operation on the port, when they found ten packages with the illicit narcotic in an empty container from Suriname. No arrest has been made in relation to the seizure.
