NIMASA trains 250 cadets to boost maritime security

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has said that it is training 250 new cadets to man its various security platforms in the Lagos-Bayelsa coastal corridor to boost maritime security and the deep blue project.

Director-General, NIMASA, Dr. Bashir Jamoh, said the move by the agency was to nip in the bud, piracy and other maritime crimes in the Nigerian waters and the Gulf of Guinea.
