No country can go it alone in counter-piracy efforts believes a senior US naval officer.
Cooperation between countries bordering the Indian Ocean is essential for improving maritime security, according to US Navy Vice Admiral Scott Van Buskirk, Commander of the US 7th Fleet.
He said that more countries were interested in cooperating and sharing information as piracy has spread further to east in the Indian Ocean.
