Crew Safe
According to reports to emerge from the Philippine government, the 23 crew held onboard a Spanish tanker hijacked off West Africa are safe.
Reports indicate that at least 14 seafarers on board the “Mattheos I” are Filipino, and there are believed to be 5 Spaniards and 2 Ukrainians are also on board.
Local agents have received notification that the crew are well after the ship was hijacked last week off Benin.
